As a photojournalist and editor for almost 30 years, I am always looking for ways to have better looking interviews, cleaner sounding audio and the ability to see a shot without looking through the viewfinder. The original XTENDER® articulating arm was developed to enhance basic lighting techniques. Many of my colleagues have told me that they are sick of shooting interviews where the subject looked like a deer caught in the headlights. In fact, you’ve probably taken the light off of your camera to get better-lit interviews too.
After years of hard work and field-testing, I have created the XTENDER® line of articulating arms and camera accessories. The arms are sleek, durable, lightweight extension devices that make your life easier by enabling you to achieve better lighting, getting the microphone closer to your subject, or positioning your camera accessories anywhere you see fit. The XTENDER® arms connect to the normal 1/4″-20 threaded mount or the shoe mount of your camera.
